I have been diving since 1992, when I first learned to dive with The BSAC
Abu Dhabi Sub Aqua Club. At the time I was living in Abu Dhabi and teaching
at an international school. It was a wonderful club and I liked it's nuturing
philosophy of inspiring new members to enjoy this fantastic sport within a club
environment which encouraged positive diving practises and encouraged divers to
acquire new skills in a friendly and relaxed environment. I have dived in many
different underwater environments ranging from the cold depths of Oban in Scotland,
Vivien Quarry in North Wales to the tropical waters of Brunei and the South
China Sea. During 1996 whilst living in Brunei, Borneo I was diving shipwrecks
on a weekly basis, which for me was probably one of the most satisfying diving
experiences ever. I was again fortunate enough to be part of a BSAC club which
genuinely wanted the best diving experiences for it's members whilst also
providing a thriving social scene which was a great experience for any Brit
living abroad. Since purchasing an apartment in Sharm el Sheikh in 2003, I
no longer dive in cold waters but enjoy the warmth & visibility of some of
the best diving to be found anywhere in the world. Please find below my
diving qualifications and experiences.
